"What You Need to Know about Early Voting in Georgia: Important Dates"

Georgia Primary Voting is open now through March 8, 2024. You can vote in person at your polling place or your local election office. Though we are a nonpartisan organization, this is your personal opportunity to request a Democratic or Republican ballot.


Vote Early In Person

Check with your local Board of Elections Offices.

Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Saturday from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM


Georgia Employment Voting Law

Employers must allow employees 2 hours of paid leave to go vote, once it is cleared with your employer, (unless polls are open 2 hours before or after regular working shift).


Important Early Voting Dates

February 19 - 1st Day of early voting

February 24 - 1st mandatory Saturday for early voting

February 25 - 1st optional Sunday for early voting

March 1 - Last day to request an absentee ballot for primaries (be sure to send your ballot in by the end of election day)

March 2 - Second mandatory Saturday for early voting

March 3 - Second optional Sunday for early voting

March 8 - Last day for early voting
