We are excited to announce an opportunity to join the Georgia NAACP team as a Civic Engagement Director. This position is crucial in advancing our mission of promoting equality, justice, and civil rights for all Georgians.


Position: Civic Engagement Director Location: Georgia, USA


Job Description: As the Civic Engagement Director, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to mobilize communities, increase voter participation, and advocate for policies that promote social and economic justice for the 2024 Election Cycle. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Organizing grassroots campaigns to address key issues affecting communities of color.

  • Coordinating voter registration and education initiatives.

  • Building coalitions with other organizations and stakeholders to amplify our impact.

  • Conducting outreach efforts to engage diverse communities across Georgia.

  • Providing leadership and support to NAACP chapters and volunteers statewide.

Qualifications: We are seeking a dynamic individual with a strong commitment to social justice and civil rights. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in community organizing, advocacy, or related fields.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of voter engagement strategies and campaign tactics.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with Georgia's political landscape and communities preferred.
