Georgia NAACP joins multiple communities groups and Rapper TI for One Fulton Juneteenth Celebration

SANDY SPRINGS- The third annual One Fulton Juneteenth Celebration took place on Sunday at Sandy Springs Middle School. Organized by the Juneteenth Federation, North Georgia Labor Council, North Fulton Georgia Labor Union, non-profit Dreamz Always Come True, The Link at North Springs, and multiple Georgia NAACP branches, the event featured a special appearance by Atlanta rapper, actor, and mogul T.I.

Comedian Shuler King hosted the celebration, which included an insightful discussion on the history of Juneteenth, a Voter Rights Panel, a dance-off, and other activities, according to the Georgia NAACP.

Gerald Griggs, NAACP Atlanta President, highlighted the significance of Juneteenth and honored those who have contributed to the Georgia community.

“Juneteenth is a profound reminder of our journey from enslavement to emancipation, a testament to the resilience, faith, and freedom that define the African American experience,” Griggs told WSB Radio. “This year, as we gather at Sandy Springs Middle School for the One Fulton Juneteenth Celebration, we honor the legacy of our ancestors and celebrate the vital roles of fatherhood and community in shaping our future.”
